Weekly coding club

Wednesday evenings at Prewired are for you to play around with whatever technologies you want. Learn something brand new, get help with something you're stuck on, or even teach others!

We meet almost every Wednesday of the year, from 5:30PM to 7:30PM at CodeBase Edinburgh.

Summer Make-a-Thon

Each year, usually in July, we run our Summer Make-a-Thon: a full-weekend event during which participants work in small teams to prototype a solution to a challenge over the course of two days and present their work to a panel of judges at the end.

The Make-a-Thon is open to those aged 11-18 and is a fantastic opportunity to practice working in a team, quickly scaffolding a project, and presenting in front of an audience.

FIRST LEGO League

From September to February, we run FIRST LEGO League in parallel to our normal sessions. In FIRST LEGO League, you work in a team over the course of several months to build a LEGO robot that can solve a series of challenges and design an innovation project related to the challenge theme.

We've participated in the Edinburgh competition several times and even won a few prizes, such as Best Innovation Project by our team Plastic Pollution Solution in 2025.
